Our Story · Since 2014
Founded in Las Vegas in 2014, Simon Protection Group built its experience through investigations, protective operations, event security and explosive-detection canine work. That history is the foundation of The Simon Agency.
Founder & CEO
Jonathan served in the U.S. Air Force Security Police, Henderson Police Department and LVMPD, retiring as a police sergeant in 2014. His investigative and supervisory experience, followed by corporate HR leadership and private-sector operations, shaped the company he founded. He now leads TSA and maintains a separate expert-witness and consulting practice.

The Simon Agency grew from an operating business, not simply a new brand.
Simon Protection Group, also known as SPG Worldwide, established the business behind today’s TSA. Simon Event Group developed its event-security experience; its canine section added explosive-detection capability. The Simon Agency carries that operating history into its current professional practices and Simon 24.7 Event Services.

2014 · Nevada Foundation
Jonathan Simon founded Simon Protection Group in 2014 after retiring from LVMPD. SPG has held Nevada private investigator and private patrolman licenses since its founding.
2015–2020 · Simon Event Group
SPG’s event company, Simon Event Group, handled event security from 2015 to 2020. Its work included dozens of concerts, festivals, movie productions and conventions before the pandemic disrupted live events.
2019–2025 · Canine Section
SPG operated its own canine section from 2019 to 2025, focused on explosive canine detection. In 2025, canine assignments transitioned to external service providers.
2023 · California
SPG obtained its California security license in 2023, extending the licensed foundation established in Nevada.
2026 · Expansion & Simon 24.7
Licensing expanded in 2026 to Alabama, Maryland, Virginia, Texas, Florida, Washington, D.C. and New Jersey, with New York pending. Simon 24.7 Event Services carries the earlier event business into its next chapter, while TSA brings together protective operations, investigative support and Jonathan Simon’s separate expert-witness practice.
